Past Events
Play for Period Progress Valorant Tournament
This past Menstrual Health Day, we teamed up with U by Kotex® and the global gaming community in a Valorant tournament to raise support for menstrual health education and equity. Five streamers, 58 players and hundreds of viewers joined the tournament safe space to talk openly about the pains and gains of menstrual health, including issues related to period poverty, stigma and education.
Mission: Beat the Clock
For International Day of the Girl on October 11, we held a three-day event filled with gaming, fundraising and spooky Friday the 13th indie games to ignite change through girls’ activism. The spookiest thing of all? The World Economic Forum estimates that gender equality is 131 years away! So we united with seven streamers and more than half a million viewers to “Beat the Clock” and shorten the time until we are all equal, raising $33,120 for the Digital Safe Spaces for Girls Gift of Hope.
Watch content creator @girlhero host a live stream featuring a Girls Belong Here Youth Ambassador, party game developer Snap Finger Click and others discussing how supporting girls’ activism will help us Beat the Clock.
