How does matched giving work?
Donation matching programs like Gifts of Hope offer an opportunity to maximize the value and impact of your gifts. When you choose a Gift of Hope marked with the matched symbol, your gift is multiplied – sometimes up to 12 times – by trusted partners like government agencies, foundations, and organizations. This means your gift goes further, helping even more children and families without any additional cost to you.
For example, if you give a $50 gift that’s matched 12x, our partners will contribute 12 more of those specific gifts. That means that your $50 gift becomes $650, making 12x as much impact possible. It’s a simple yet powerful way to maximize your generosity.
Who matches the donations?
Gifts of Hope are matched by trusted partners like the Government of Canada, The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB, and Malaria and other institutional donors. Organizations, corporations or generous individual givers can all contribute to match commitments.
