I had the privilege of hosting the Confident Me workshop as part of the 'Dare to Lead' Youth empowerment leadership program for HCDSB youth, and the experience was truly enriching. The workshops provided a platform for participants to explore and embrace their confidence, addressing the impact of ideal bodies in society, professional settings, and social media on body image. The Confident Me workshop helped youth develop self-esteem and body positivity. It empowered them to navigate challenges with resilience and self-assurance. I am grateful to have been a part of this empowering initiative and am confident that the skills and insights gained during the Confident Me workshop will have a lasting impact on the lives of the HCDSB youth.” — Lina Sakkab, Youth Settlement Worker, Halton Catholic District School Board

Facilitating Confident Me Workshops has really reinforced how great the need for youth to learn about body confidence is for me. I've witnessed students open up and share, learn they aren't alone, and support each other. I've heard students sound more confident with themselves toward the end of the workshop. In a world where youth mental health is impacted because of what's said and shown in the media, these conversations are needed." — Natasha Graham, Partnership Development at YouthSpeak Charity

We welcomed the team from Plan International Canada to our school to talk to our young women. The presentation was very informative, and the girls not only gained a deeper understanding of the impact of social media on their wellbeing but also felt a deep sense of empowerment to advocate for themselves and withstand the societal pressures. We highly recommend this program to our colleagues and look forward to welcoming them back as the message being shared touched students and will help them navigate their future social interactions both in person and online as they grow and expand their social circles. We look forward to working with the team in the future! Thank you Plan International Canada!"  — Lauren Rovas, Vice Principal of Runnymede Jr & Sr PS
