Gunfire, explosions and looting are a daily reality for families in Sudan. Hunger continues to rage across East Africa, made worse by the effects of climate change. Communities are being driven to a breaking point. Supplies are running out. We cannot abandon children who are trapped in – or fleeing – the conflict and ongoing crises. We must take immediate action to help.

We are scaling up our operations in East Africa to respond to urgent and increasing needs. Your critical support will help children – especially girls, who are most at risk in crises – and their families by:

Setting up shelters alongside our peer organizations
Increasing psycho-social support services and safe spaces
Providing emergency supplies, including food, water and hygiene kits
Building water access points in refugee camps and shelters
Establishing learning spaces so children can continue their education

*Donations will support children and their families facing crisis in Sudan, South Sudan, Chad, Central African Republic, Somalia, Kenya and Ethiopia. Any donations received that exceed what is required to support this emergency will be directed to other areas of greatest humanitarian need, helping assist more children facing global crises and conflicts. Donations are eligible for a tax credit. Tax receipts are automatically issued for all one-time gift donations of $25.00 CAD or more. For all recurring gift donations (e.g., Child Sponsorship, monthly gifts), tax receipts are issued in February for the previous calendar year.
