Plan international canada’s president & CEO wins in multiple categories at Stevie Awards for women in business

Toronto, November 19, 2018 – Plan International Canada is proud to announce that its President & CEO, Caroline Riseboro, was presented with the Gold Medal Stevie Award for Women Helping Women and Female Executive of the Year in Canada at the Stevie Awards for Women in Business ceremony on Friday November 16th. Caroline was also presented with the Silver Medal Stevie Award for Female Innovator of the Year - Government or Non-Profit -11 to 2,500 Employees, Female Executive of the Year - Government or Non-Profit -11 to 2,500 Employees and Maverick of the Year, Woman of the Year - Government or Non-Profit.

As an organization, Plan International Canada was presented with the Gold Medal Stevie Award for Women-Run Workplace of the Year - More Than 10 Employees, and the Silver Medal Stevie Award for Organization of the Year - Government or Non-Profit- More Than 10 Employees and Most Innovative Company of the Year - More Than 10 Employees. Plan International Canada also won second place in the GRAND STEVIE AWARD WINNERS category, which recognizes the 5 organizations that won the most Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevies in the 2018 competition.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business are produced by the Stevie Business Awards and are widely considered one of the most prestigious awards for women entrepreneurs, executives, employees and the organizations they run.

This year,1,500 submissions were received for consideration in over 90 award categories. Both Plan International Canada and its President & CEO, Caroline Riseboro, were nominated for a total of 11 categories.

“Being recognized by the Stevie Awards for Women in Business has been a truly humbling experience,” said Caroline Riseboro last Friday. “I am beyond grateful for the team at Plan International Canada and all we’ve accomplished together.” This is Caroline’s second consecutive year as a Stevie Awards recipient.

Caroline’s visionary leadership is the impetus behind Plan International Canada’s groundbreaking work. She is passionate about engaging Canadians in tackling society’s most pressing issues, and is credited with launching numerous award-winning campaigns. Recently, under Caroline’s direction, Plan International Canada helped lead a coalition of more than 30 organizations to call on the Canadian government and other global leaders to champion a G7 Declaration on Girls’ Education and Empowerment in Crises. As a result of this two-year advocacy campaign, G7 countries alongside the World Bank committed $3.8 billion CAD to educating over 8 million children, with a special emphasis on girls, in emergency situations.

Plan International Canada is thrilled to have its President & CEO Caroline Riseboro recognized by the Stevie Awards for Women in Business.
