OFFICIAL RULES & REGULATIONS:

By participating in this Contest, each entrant agrees to be legally bound by these Official Contest Rules and Regulations (the "Rules").

1. CONTEST PERIOD:

The Contest begins on November 9, 2017 at 10:00 AM Eastern Time (ET) and ends on November 17, 2017 at 4:59 PM (ET) (the "Contest Period").

2. ELIGIBILITY:

The Contest is open to legal residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) who are between 14 and 24 years of age at the time of entry except employees, representatives or agents (and those with whom such persons are domiciled) of Plan International Canada ("Sponsor"), its subsidiaries, affiliates, distributors, prize suppliers, advertising/promotion agencies and any other entity involved in the development, production, administration, or fulfillment of the Contest (collectively, the "Contest Parties").

All entrants who are minors in their province or territory of residence must obtain permission from their parent or legal guardian to participate in the Contest. In such cases, the parent or legal guardian must sign the Declaration and Release Form on behalf of the minor winner in order for the minor winner to accept the prize.

3. PRIZES:

There are a total of three hundred and seventy three (373) prizes available to be won in Canada (excluding Quebec). Each prize consists of two (2) tickets to the Economics of Equality: Advancing Women and Girls to Change the World event held on November 28, 2017 at Mattamy Athletic Centre, Ryerson University, Toronto (each a “Prize”). The approximate retail value of each Prize is CAD$500. If, at the time a Prize is redeemed or awarded, the actual prevailing retail purchase price for the Prize is less than the approximate retail value stated in advertising and promotion materials, and/or in these Rules, the Prize winner will not be entitled to any difference.

Each Prize winner (and their guest) will be solely responsible for all other incidental costs and expenses related to their prize, including, but without limitation, transportation to and from the event, gratuities, personal expenses, meals, entertainment, etc. The Sponsor will not be held to award more Prizes than as set out in these Rules.

Limit of one (1) Prize per entrant. Any prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, non-refundable, has no cash-surrender value, and must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute and/or modify any prize with (a) prize(s) of equal or greater value for any reason.

4. HOW TO ENTER:

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY

To enter, visit www.plancanada.ca/equality-talks during the Contest Period, complete all required information and click “Submit” for one (1) entry into the Contest. All entries become the property of the Contest Sponsor and will not be returned. Limit one (1) entry per entrant during the Contest Period.

5. ENTRY LIMITS:

If it is discovered by the Sponsor (using any evidence or other information made available to or otherwise discovered by the Sponsor) that any person has attempted to: (i) exceed any of the limits provided in these Rules; and/or (ii) use multiple names, identities, email addresses, and/or any automated, macro, script, robotic or other system(s) or program(s) to enter or otherwise participate in or to disrupt this Contest; then he/she may be disqualified from the Contest in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor. An entry may be rejected if (in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor) it is not submitted and received in accordance with these Rules during the Contest Period. The Released Parties (defined below) are not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, delayed, incomplete, illegible or incompatible entries (all of which are void).

All entries and entrants are subject to verification at any time and for any reason. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to the Sponsor – including, without limitation, government issued photo identification): (i) for the purposes of verifying an individual's eligibility to participate in this Contest; (ii) for the purposes of verifying the eligibility and/or legitimacy of any entry or other information submitted (or purportedly submitted) for the purposes of this Contest; and/or (iii) for any other reason the Sponsor deems necessary, in its sole and absolute discretion, for the purposes of administering this Contest in accordance with these Rules. Failure to provide such proof to the complete satisfaction of the Sponsor within the timeline specified by the Sponsor may result in disqualification in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor. The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of this Contest will be the Sponsor's website server machine(s).

6. WINNER DETERMINATION:

On November 20, 2017 at approximately 10:00 A.M. ET at the office of the Sponsor in Toronto, Ontario, three hundred and seventy three (373) entries will be selected via random drawing from among all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. Each entrant associated with the selected entry will be deemed the potential winner. The Sponsor or its designated representative will contact the potential winner by email (using the information associated with his/her entry) within two (2) days of the draw (“Winner Notification”). If a potential winner cannot be contacted within fortyeight (48) hours of the Winner Notification, does not respond within forty-eight (48) hours of the Winner Notification, or there is a return of any notification as undeliverable, or does not meet all the Contest conditions set out in these Rules, he/she will be disqualified (and will forfeit all rights to the Prize) and the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to randomly draw another entrant from the remaining eligible entries, who will be deemed the potential winner and will be subject to disqualification in the same manner. The odds of winning a Prize are solely dependent on the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.

7. WINNER CONDITIONS:

BEFORE BEING DECLARED A WINNER, each potential winner must have correctly answered, unaided, a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question on the entry form, and sign and return within fortyeight (48) hours of the Winner Notification a Declaration and Release Form prepared by the Sponsor, which, among other things: (i) confirms compliance with these Rules; (ii) agrees to release the Released Parties from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from any liability in connection with this Contest and/or his/her participation therein; (iii) agrees to indemnify the Released Parties against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from any use of the Prize; (iv) acknowledges acceptance of the Prize as awarded; (v) releases and hold harmless of the Released Parties from any and all liability in connection with the awarding and/or his/her use/misuse of the Prize or any portion thereof; and (vi) agrees to the publication, reproduction and/or other use of his/her name, address, voice, photograph or other likeness, or statements about the Contest and/or without further notice or compensation, in any publicity or advertisement. If the winner is a minor in his/her province or territory of residence at the time of winner selection, the parent or legal guardian must fill out and sign the Declaration and Release Form on behalf of the minor winner.

If a potential winner: (a) fails to correctly answer the skill testing question; (b) fails to return the properly executed Contest documents within the specified time; (c) cannot attend the Economics of Equality: Advancing Women and Girls to Change the World event; and/or (d) cannot accept the Prize for any reason; then he/she will be disqualified (and will forfeit all rights to the Prize) and the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to select another eligible entrant as a potential winner in accordance with Winner Determination section of these Rules.

8. GUEST CONDITIONS:

Each chosen guest will be required to sign and return a Declaration and Release Form within a specified period of time confirming compliance with, and agreement to be bound by, these rules and releasing the Contest Parties from any and all liability arising from their participation of the Prize or any Prize related activities. If the winner’s chosen guest is under the age of majority in the province or territory in which they reside, express consent must be obtained from any such minor guest’s parent or legal guardian to participate in the Prize. In such case, the guest’s parents or guardian must also sign and return Declaration and Release Form.

9. PRIZE DISTRIBUTION:

Once confirmed as a Prize winner, the Prize must be picked up at the will-call window at Mattamy Athletic Centre on November 28, 2017. Valid photo ID and a copy of the Winner Notification email will be required in order to pick up the Prize. The Sponsor makes no representations or warranties of any kind concerning the Prize. Unclaimed Prize will not be awarded. Failure to redeem a Prize will result in forfeiture of the Prize. Winner bears all risk of loss or damages to Prize after pick up.

The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, and without prior notice, to adjust any of the dates and/or timeframes stipulated in these Rules, to the extent necessary, for purposes of verifying compliance by any entrant or Entry with these Rules, or as a result of technical problems, or in light of any other circumstances which, in the opinion of the Sponsor, in its sole and absolute discretion, affect the proper administration of the Contest as contemplated in these Rules.
