CHAMPIONS OF
CHANGE CLUBS

Champions of change clubs

Champion of change club meeting

Champions of Change Clubs are led by young people in community groups, elementary schools, high schools, colleges and universities throughout Canada. Through Champions of Change Clubs, young people are encouraged and empowered to unleash their power as global citizens – increasing awareness about the rights of children and equality for girls around the world. The Clubs are also a space where young people build leadership, public speaking experience, event planning, advocacy skills and entrepreneurialism. In the wake of COVID-19, the Clubs’ programming has been adapted to better harness the online Youth Engagement Hub as well as other digital tools, such as online workshops and conferences, while expanding opportunities for collaborations and connections between Clubs throughout Canada – fostering a powerful network of young global citizens ready to make change.

WHO CAN REGISTER A CLUB?

Young people of all gender identities in schools throughout Canada can register and lead Champions of Change clubs. Educators can also start Clubs in their schools to engage students in social justice work. Once registered, Clubs will gain access to a number of resources and information to help them get started, all stored on our Youth Engagement Hub! They will also gain a space on the Hub for their school where they can post news, personalize their page, and connect with members of the Club

By starting a Champions of Change Club, members also gain access to Plan International Canada’s Youth Engagement Hub, an online community for Club members to stay connected and track their collective efforts to advance gender equality. Check out the Youth Engagement Hub to learn more and join the Champions of Change Clubs network!
