Rosey Edeh

OLYMPIAN & TV PERSONALITY

Rosey Edeh

For three-time Olympian, Rosey Edeh, being a Plan Celebrated Ambassador is a family affair. In 2012, the writer, author, journalist and filmmaker joined the smartgirl challenge, which saw her and her daughter Micha travel to Tanzania alongside contest winners to celebrate the opening of a maternal health clinic.

I will never forget how invigorating it was to visit the maternal health clinic in Tanzania, especially with my daughter. There was so much hope and love in those walls, and most importantly, so much hard work being done to support women and children. It’s work that will literally save lives, which is why I am so proud to be a Celebrated Ambassador.

Since Tanzania, Rosey has continued to generously donate her time and her profile as an athlete and media personality to support children’s rights and advance gender equality.

It’s a dedication that carries into all aspects of her career, most recently as Founder and CEO of Micha Muse Media – a production company named after her daughter.

Before shifting to the role of filmmaker, Rosey spent years as a co-host and reporter on ET Canada and various other news and current affairs programs on Global. Having also worked as a sports and entertainment reporter in Montreal and on US networks such as CNN, NBC and MSNBC, it’s no surprise that Rosey has interviewed some of the biggest names in entertainment.

Rosey is also a world-class track athlete and was a four-time All American. She represented Canada in the 1988, 1992 and 1996 Summer Olympics, and won medals in the Commonwealth Games and the World University Games.

Born in London, England and raised in Montreal, Rosey also holds the current Canadian record in the 400 metre hurdles.
