Canadian-born, internationally acclaimed actress and model Lisa Ray landed her first big break at the age of 16 after being discovered by one of India’s leading fashion magazines. Since then, some of Ray’s most notable working film credits include Deepa Mehta’s “Bollywood/Hollywood” and the Oscar-nominated, “Water”, Camelia Frieberg’s gentle sibling drama, “A Stone’s Throw”, Shamim Shaif’s south African drama, “The World Unseen” and Dilip Mehta's recent release, "Cooking with Stella" to name a few.
Lisa has supported several events in support of the Because I am a Girlinitiative including the 2009 Masala Mehndi Masti festival booth and the inaugural Pink LemonAid sale on September 22nd. A recent cancer survivor, Lisa is also well known for her outspoken blog and for harnessing public awareness towards cancer and multiple myeloma related activities
