6 youth changing the birth story in Ghana and Canada

Girls in Ghana are securing their sexual and reproductive health and rights thanks to Because I am a Girl project supporters like you, and their Canadian counterparts!

Plan International Canada youth participants travelled to Ghana to meet their inspiring Ghanaian peers and see your support and their work to champion the equality movement and Change the Birth Story, in action.

Around the world, it is far too normal for women and girls to suffer from limiting and harmful societal gender inequalities. But as a Because I am a Girl supporter, you are helping youth access their power to defy the norms and advance gender equality.

Their triumphant stories of transformation must be told! Share their voices and your vital role in helping Change the Birth Story.
