Gender Equality Superheroes

Do you believe that girls’ rights are fundamental human rights? Our powerful Because I am a Girl Speakers Bureau sure does.

The Speakers Bureau is a team of 70+ advocates for gender equality, from all across Canada. Formed in September, this team has been going through training sessions and public speaking seminars to perfect their message of girls’ rights. And now... they’re ready!

This dynamic group of 14-22 year-olds were the first people to take a pledgesupporting girls’ rights with Plan Canada this International Day of the Girl.

They will be on the frontlines, talking to students about the importance of investing in young women, everywhere.

If you would like to hold anassembly about gender equality or to learn more about what Plan International and Because I am a Girl is doing? Then we have the speakers for you.

Join the student movement!

Change doesn’t happen overnight. It takes hard work. It takes commitment. It takes a movement.

Today’s students are in a unique and powerful position. They are connected in a way that no generation before them ever was. They have information at their fingertips. And they can mobilize simply by sending out a few messages.

Plan Canada will be launching their first ever Plan Canada Clubs on campuses across the country. Together, we are working with one mission in mind: to improve the lives of children. Through fun presentations, campus visits and interactive fundraisers, students everywhere will be given a chance to make a positive impact on the lives of children in the developing world.
