All children and young people should have a say in the policies and decisions that affect them. Because of the obstacles they face, girls in particular should be encouraged and empowered to ensure they are heard.
The 2007 Because I am a Girl report recommended an eight-point action plan to improve the situation of the world's girls. The number one recommendation was listen to Girls and let them participate.
