Plan Canada is not responsible or liable for any technical problems or technical malfunction of any kind arising in connection with any of the following occurrences which may affect or interrupt the operation of the website: hardware or software errors; faulty computer, telephone, cable, satellite, network, electronic, wireless or Internet connectivity or other online communication problems; errors or limitations of any Internet service providers, servers, hosts or telephone providers.

Plan is an international, humanitarian, child-centred development organization working with families and their communities. Plan Canada offers its information on the Internet to continue to raise funds and awareness and meet the needs of children around the world.
Plan Canada reserves all copyrights on material on its webpages, including photographs and graphic designs.
The use of Plan Canada Internet material for any purpose, including repackaging in print, electronic or any other media, is prohibited unless prior written permission is obtained.

Membership Registration:
All members of becauseiamagirl.ca must at least be between the ages of 6-18 and must live in Canada. Parental permission is also required for membership for those under the age of 14.
As part of the registration process, we collect some personal information. All of your information is kept in a secure database and will never be seen by anyone outside of becauseiamagirl.ca staff (check out our Privacy section for more details). It's also necessary for us to collect parent's email addresses for those between the ages of 6-14. We send an email to the parents letting them know that their child has registered for a membership with becauseiamagirl.ca.
Each membership application is reviewed before it's enabled. If an account has an inappropriate username (e.g. one that contains the user's real name or bad words) or if you've provided false information, the account will be deleted.
Video Upload:
Only videos that are between 10-15 seconds in length will be uploaded and attached to the video.
Film yourself saying “I am the One. Because I am a Girl” or "I am the One. Because I know a Girl". Once you have finished, save to your computer. **Please only record this statement and it should only be 10-15 seconds in length. Please review terms and conditions before you submit your video.
Any inappropriate language will not be tolerated. A trained moderator will be reviewing the videos and Plan holds the right to remove any videos they deem inappropriate. The user may be contacted and in some cases the local authorities may be notified. We also ask users to report any inappropriate content via an email option located on your profile page. This alert will be emailed to Plan Canada and appropriate steps will be taken.
Under the Privacy Act, all videos will be protected and will not be sent to anyone or used for any other matter then the video upload. The only way a video will be shared is by the user themselves.
