The Because I am a Girl campaign goes cross Canada!
2009/10 School Tour - 411 TV: Because I am a Girl
This mock live-to-air TV Talk Show featured Hip-hop artists Eternia and Masia One, who used their music and shared experiences to generate discussion about girls' rights and issues. The program also included guest interviews, live performances and satellite interviews from around the world. We reached 35,000 girls from Ontario, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and British Columbia!

Because I am a Girl Documentary
To launch the Because I am a Girl movement across Canada, we sent a documentary crew from coast-to-coast talking to teen girls in Canada about girls rights and issues and what it means to be a girl – here at home and in the developing world.
We met hundreds of amazing and inspirational girls that have already started to change the world. The documentary was screened at the Sprockets International Film Festival in Toronto on April 19th / 20th 2010, followed by an in-depth panel discussion. To quote from the Sprockets’ write-up: “this socially relevant documentary is dynamic, stylish and very real.” How cool is that?
